York Dungeon’s ‘resident poltergeist’ was caught on CCTV enjoying a spot of after hours shopping.
It was caught by security four times across two nights in January, ‘launching’ tumbler cups from the gift shop shelves after hours.
Staff have long suspected a paranormal presence lingering within the walls at York Dungeon, but they say the events shown here have finally confirmed their fears.
Footage shows tumbler cups flying from the shelves with nobody in sight to take responsibility, suggesting the newest visitor to York Dungeon prefers to shop alone.
The first incident took place on Wednesday 7Â January at 11:23pm, when the unseen shopper selected its first item and sent it crashing to the floor. A second cup followed later that night at 1:34am.
Almost exactly a week later, on Thursday 15 January similar scenes were recorded, with further cups dramatically flying from the shelves at 1:26am and 2:05am.
