Goathland Camping Coach
The camping coach is located at the railway station, which served as Hogsmead Railway Station in the first Harry Potter Film and played host to the long running ITV series Heartbeat.
The charming village of Goathland is just a few minutes walk up the bank from the station, with a great range of shops and pubs. Plus, you can catch a steam train to the historic seaside town of Whitby for a great gothic day out.
Helmsley Garden Cottage & Railway Carriage
The UK’s oldest and most unique railway carriage accommodation – a 1887, 3rd Class Victorian Carriage converted to a beautiful, luxurious hide-away. Originally running between York and Scarborough, it was de-commission in 1905 and brought to Helmsley the same year.
The location is perfect for exploring the the historic market town of Helmsley, the Howardian Hills and, further afield, the North York Moors and Yorkshire coast – including Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
The Sidings Hotel & Restaurant
Nestled on the edge of York and set beside the iconic East Coast Main Line, The Sidings Hotel invites you to sleep in one of their beautifully restored Pullman railway carriages.
It is perfectly placed as a base to explore the historic City of York, or to simply while away the hours trainspotting. As the name implies, there is also a wonderful restaurant too, so you won’t go hungry watching the trains go by.

Skipwith Station
Surrounded by open countryside and adjacent to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve this is a fantastic place to enjoy York city centre and the surrounding area.
Housed in more modern train carriages, the accommodation benefits from central heating and air conditioning throughout. There is an ex-Virgin West Coast carriage, a converted MK2 mail van and a First-Class coach.
The Old Station Allerston
Situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and Dalby Forest, The Old Station Allerston is just 12 miles from the coast.
The three carriages, all ex BR Mk2 First Class Corridor stock, were built in Derby during 1968-9. They are now well equipped for self catering, having undergone a comprehensive conversion. They each have central heating and an air extract system throughout.
Sandsend Sleeper & Parcel Wagon
You don’t need to be a train spotter to appreciate the wonder of this lovingly restored carriage and station holiday cottage boasting a stunning sea view along the coastline towards Whitby.
The carriage provides luxury accommodation for up to four people and the Parcel Wagon accommodation for 2 people.
The carriage was built in York in 1956 and is a MK1 Tourist Second Open. It has been repainted in its original LNER livery, commonly known as ‘blood and custard.
